Five For Fighting – UFC 141: Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem
With UFC 141 in a books, and Brock Lesnar retiring, it’s time to play Joe Silva and figure out a 5 many intriguing matchups for some of a winners (and losers) entrance out of UFC 141. As always we can review a play by play of a eventuality here.
Alistair Overeem vs. Junior Dos Santos – Overeem looked like an comprehensive torpedo opposite Lesnar. That liver shot that finished a quarrel could’ve killed many people and it’s no consternation Lesnar crumpled from it. Junior Dos Santos is a bad, bad male and this looks like it could be an insanely good matchup. Dana White had settled that a leader of Lesnar/Overeem would quarrel for a pretension and this is a usually quarrel that creates clarity for “The Reem” right now.
Nate Diaz vs. a leader of Joe Lauzon/Anthony Pettis – The lightweight multiplication is a bit open now that Jim Miller, Clay Guida and Melvin Guillard have all mislaid as good as Maynard/Edgar has completed. With Henderson/Edgar on a way, a new #1 contender needs to be crowned. I’d adore to see this as a pretension eliminator and a pretension invulnerability for this spring/early summer lined up.
Johny Hendricks vs. a leader of Carlos Condit/Nick Diaz – Johny Hendricks only broken a #2 welterweight in a world. Who could’ve likely that GSP would be out of a pretension design and Jon Fitch wouldn’t be around to gain on it? Hendricks is on a clever winning strain and a dismantling of Fitch, who hadn’t been knocked out in roughly a decade, should validate him for a pretension shot. If not we can see him fighting a leader of Diego Sanchez/Jake Ellenberger in a pretension eliminator.
Donald Cerrone vs. Cole Miller – One of a fights Cerrone has wanted over a years has been Miller since a dual apparently don’t like one another. It seemed peculiar that he’d wish that quarrel when he was in pretension contention; now he’s off that trail for a brief while and this could be a good miscarry quarrel for him. Clay Guida stays as good as he’s another wannabe contender who fell short, looking to get behind on a path.
Jimy Hettes vs. Chan Sung Jung – Jung and Hettes both are entrance off violent beatdowns of famous fighters. Jung might have beaten a tip warrior though he’s not one yet. Hettes still needs some seasoning before he takes on a best of a multiplication or during slightest a Miguel Torres type. Jung could be a fun quarrel and one that helps Hettes continue to climb. Torres’s lapse to a UFC could also have Hettes in the crosshairs as well.
